Religion blames God for the good and the bad that happens in this world! Faith understands that God is good and the devil is bad, for every good gift and every perfect gift come down from the Father who never changes.
Religion believes that God is in control of everything. Therefore whatever happens in this world must be from God. He either did it or permitted it. Therefore God permits all the natural disasters on the earth. He permits all the abortions on the earth. He permits all the genocide on the earth. He permits all the murders, rapes, abuses and thefts. He is behind it all, good or bad.
Faith understands that God is good. He is life and light and love. He is on our side. We are safe in the palm of His hands. It is the devil that is wreaking all the havoc in this world. God sent us a Savior to save us from Satan’s dominion so that we can be seated with Christ and rule and reign over Satan and his evil kingdom. Satan may rule this world but he cannot rule over us for the greater One lives in us.
Religion says, “Our righteousness is as filthy rags!” Faith says, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!”
Religion is under condemnation. It is sin conscience. Therefore it is always aware of its weaknesses and sins.
Religion is still under the Law of Moses that demanded you be perfect in your actions, in your heart and in your behavior.
Because man still has his flesh to contend with, he falls short on a daily basis. Religion listens to the devil’s accusations and comes under condemnation causing them to feel unworthy of God. Religion gets its identity from the flesh, therefore it feels unworthy of God.
On the other hand, faith understands that we have been given Jesus’ righteousness as a free gift when we believe the gospel. Therefore we are righteous and acceptable to God our Father. Faith gets its identity through our new born-again spirit that is perfect in the sight of God. Therefore faith is free from all condemnation and boldly puts on the Lord Jesus Christ and walks with God with a righteousness conscience.
Religion says, “The devil can do nothing unless God permits him to do it!” Faith says, “Satan comes to devour you, whom you must resist steadfast in the faith!”
Religion believes that God is in control, therefore Satan can do nothing without God’s permission.
They get this doctrine from the Job chapters one and two where God permitted Satan to afflict Job.
Faith understands that Satan was defeated at the cross and cast down from heaven (Revelation 12:10-11). He no longer has a place in heaven to accuse us before God.
We are now redeemed and forgiven.
You cannot condemn or accuse the forgiven.
Faith understands that Jesus has given us all His resources to equip us to rule in this world over Satan and his kingdom. Faith will resist Satan steadfast with the word of God until the victory comes.
Religion says, “Sometimes God says NO!” Faith says, “God is not yes and no but all the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus.”
Religion lives by sight and assumes that God is in control of everything, therefore whatever happens in life must be God’s will. That being understoof, if you ask God for something and you do not get it, you must assume that God said NO.
Faith understands that God cannot lie. If He promises you something in His word, He is obligated by His own word to give it to you. Faith understands that we are heirs of God and every promise written in the Bible is yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:19-20) to the redeemed.
Faith will ask and believe that he receives what he asked for and will get it every time. Therefore faith will ask with great confidence and continue standing on the promise until it manifests in the nature realm.
Once you get your answer you can now eat the fruit of the word of God, at which time, God is gloried and you are happy.
Reverend David Watson, Founder of the University of Health & Healing, and Lead Pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship in Enterprise, Alabama, sets the record straight about church, religion, and denominations.
Religion says, "Only our past sins are forgiven when we are saved!" Faith says, "You are completely forgiven and saved by grace!"
Religion is a mixture of grace and law.
“You are saved by grace but after salvation you must earn your righteousness by your works”.
This is why most Christians feel unworthy of God. They know they are saved by grace but they still sin therefore they are under condemnation.
Faith understands that you are saved by grace and you live the rest of your life under the grace of God. Grace forgives you and it empowers you to overcome the sin in your life. We carry in our bodies the dying of the Lord Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:10). In order words every time we commit a sin we have a permanent sacrificial Lamb living inside of us. Therefore we will always be justified before our God.
Religion says, “Everything happens for a reason!” Faith resists the devil and possesses God’s promises!
Religion believes that God is in control of everything, therefore whatever happens in your life, God either did or permitted it for a reason.
This way of thinking is completely absurd. For example if this is true, you would have to say that God permitted Hitler to murder six million Jews for a reason. Or God permitted clinics to abort three thousand babies each day in America for a reason. If this is true then God permits children to be kidnapped and sold into sex slavery and become addicted to drugs and then sometimes beaten to death for a reason.
This way of thinking brings a great reproach upon our loving and good heavenly Father and His church on this earth.
Faith understands that God is love, good, light and life. He is on your side. Satan is the god of this world and he is behind all the evil in it. Jesus defeated Satan at the cross and gave the church the power to rule and reign on this earth. Faith stands against evil and possesses every promise given to it.
Religion always points the finger and blames everyone else! Faith takes responsibility for its actions and repents. Then it receives its forgiveness and continues on.
Religion brings you under condemnation so that you will also condemn anyone who wrongs you. Condemnation separates you from the love that God has for you and it will not allow God’s love to flow through you.
Faith understands that the flesh is still attached to its mortal body and because of it Christians are not perfect in their actions or their behavior.
When the flesh gets the best of you, faith will repent, take responsibility for it's actions and do the right thing.
Then it will receive its forgiveness and move on in its journey with God.
Religion does not know what God’s will is! Faith always knows what God’s will is and refuses to move away from it!
Religion proclaims that God is in control of everything! Therefore nothing can happen unless God either does it or permits it. This doctrine takes away man’s free will and strips the church of its power to rule and reign in life.
Faith always knows what God’s will is because it reads it in the Bible. God has redeemed us from every lawless deed (Titus 2:14) and the entire curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). Therefore no one can condemn us or judge us (Romans 8:33-34). Therefore if any curse comes against us we will stand fast on the word of God and not be move away from it!
Religion will point the finger and condemn you for your sins! Faith will point you to Jesus so that you can receive the forgiveness of sins!
Religion has one goal:
To keep you under condemnation.
It is done by accusing you and reminding you of your sins. If you listen to religion you will come under condemnation and feel unworthy of God which will greatly weaken you.
Faith understands that Jesus’ blood forever justifies you before God. Therefore when someone is under condemnation faith will point them to the cross where Jesus justified them and forever forgave them of their sins. Faith understands you cannot condemn the forgiven.
